Environmental compliance

Compliance underpins everything we do.

Major and critical infrastructure projects are approved at the state level, following a detailed environmental impact assessment. Each project is required to develop and implement an environmental management plan and sub-plan for the construction and operational stages.

Our environmental and WHS specialists work closely with clients to plan, monitor, and manage compliance so that each project meets its obligations and runs smoothly on the ground.

We combine technical knowledge and state-of-the-art equipment with practical site experience. Our advice is realistic, our systems are workable, and our delivery is site-focused, supporting daily operations rather than creating unnecessary hurdles.

Our team has delivered environmental compliance programs for major infrastructure projects on roads, light rail, metro rail, container intermodals, and marine port construction works. This includes developing management plans for demolition and remediation sites, coordinating site-based environmental training, and conducting audits for utilities and government clients.

Why environmental compliance matters

Every project carries risk, from environmental impacts to sequencing challenges.

We help identify and manage these early so that projects stay on schedule and within scope. Because RARE also delivers smaller-scale projects directly, we understand the realities of compliance on site and how to balance safety with productivity.

How we work

Our integrated management system covers safety, health, environment and quality, and our WHS Management System is accredited against AS/NZS 4801. We take a proactive approach to communication, working closely with contractors, area managers and regulators to make sure compliance is achieved efficiently and without delay.

RARE’s compliance experience includes preparing Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs) for state-significant projects, overseeing environmental monitoring programs and managing reporting for council and infrastructure partners nationally.

How else can we help?

RARE’s compliance expertise extends across environmental management, project delivery and site operations. We help clients strengthen performance, meet obligations and improve efficiency through integrated environmental services that go beyond planning and documentation.

Our team can provide:
  • Development of Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs) and supporting subplans
  • Environmental training, toolbox talks and on-site supervision
  • Auditing, incident reporting and risk assessments
  • Air, water and noise monitoring programs for operational sites
  • EPA licence applications and compliance reporting

Our experience spans council, infrastructure and commercial projects across Sydney and regional NSW. By combining compliance with on-the-ground insight, RARE helps clients maintain high safety and environmental standards while keeping projects on schedule.
