Environmental policy
RARE Environmental (RARE) is committed to protecting and preserving the natural environment and operating our business in a manner that supports best practice environmental outcomes for the company, our customers and our stakeholders. We provide services in compliance, environmental remediation, and remediation of hazardous building products.
RARE demonstrates environmental leadership within our organisation and for our customers through a process of continuous improvement, collaboration and monitoring our environmental performance. We are conscious of our impact to the environment and contribution to the effects of climate change. We do this through:
- Pro-actively seeking opportunities to reduce our environmental impacts as a business
- Minimising waste and pollution arising from our business activities and services
- Building and maintaining internal environmental systems, processes, and procedures to support best practice environmental performance
- Ensuring we carry out all business activities and services in accordance with relevant environmental legislation, regulations, and other compliance obligations
- Training all staff on our Environmental Policy and empowering them to implement and improve it
- Building external partnerships and aligning ourselves with other organisations and businesses that contribute to our continued growth and performance in this area.
- Offering clients options to use more sustainable alternatives where possible to reduce the overall impact of works on the environment and contribution to climate change
This policy is established, implemented, and maintained by the RARE Senior Management Team who ensures it is aligned to the purpose, strategic direction and risk profile of the company or RARE. This policy is supported by our Environmental Management System which has been developed in accordance with AS/NZS ISO 14001.
This is subject to ongoing improvement to ensure it is applicable to company operations and legislation.
