Foseco Tank Maintenance & Removal Works

About this project

RARE Environmental were engaged to remove seven above ground storage tanks (ASTs) and three mobile storage tanks from the Foseco Padstow Site. The tanks had previously been used to store inert liquids that are part
of the manufacture of foundry consumables. Works were completed ahead of schedule and with minimal interruption of the operations of the site. The tanks and pipework were recycled.

  • Development of removal work procedure for the low clearance lift
  • Engineering solutions to protect live services, including fire suppression and ethanol storage tank and bowser
  • Coordination of excavator, crane and transport contractors on the active site
