Bingo 1A-3 Landfill Cell Construction
About this project
The Patons Lane Recycling Recovery Centre serves as an active general solid waste landfill facility, with the landfill cell being divided into sections for operational efficiency. This project focused on preparing cell 1A-3 for base and sidewall lining works, adhering strictly to the EPA-approved Technical Specification.
Following completion, detailed quality information supporting the construction process was compiled into a report submitted to the EPA by the client’s CQA representative (WSP in this instance).
Throughout the project, ensuring safety and efficient communication were our top priorities, especially given the site’s active landfill status and the high volume of truck movements.
RARE closely coordinated site access and movements to minimise risks and ensure smooth operations. Despite facing challenges such as delays in the delivery of the lining contractor’s materials, we quickly adapted our approach and scheduling to minimise disruptions.
Our proactive measures allowed us to successfully complete the project within the designated timeframe, demonstrating our ability to overcome obstacles and deliver results effectively.
