Environmental Compliance

The NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment are the regulatory authority for Critical State Significant Infrastructure (CSSI) and State Significant Infrastructure (SSI) Project and approvals.

The conditions applied to these projects include adherence to the commitments made in the Environmental Impact Assessment stage, and the requirements of the Infrastructure Approval (IA).

More often than not, infrastructure projects require interaction with contaminated lands, and a NSW EPA accredited Contaminated Sites Auditor will be incorporated to the approval process.

Combined environmental and contaminated lands requirements often overlap and specialist advice, early engagement and dedicated personal for onsite delivery can reduce impact to the project.

RARE typically deploys site-based staff for the duration of construction projects, in the role of an Environmental Compliance Manager. Our full integration into a construction team allows a presence during real time project scheduling, management of compliance issues variance of scope and dedicated interface with the ER, validation consultant and site auditor.

We can interact directly with site management teams to ensure compliance actions are undertaken on time.
